Nathaniel's Birthday Party

Had to put this picture of Hollly in - isn't her new haircut so cute???

Nathaniel had his birthday part Saturday afternoon. They swam, had a scavenger hunt, swam again, ate dinner and opened presents (money, gift cards, Indiana Jones Lego's, a Rubik's cube, a basketball, clothes).... The weather was amazing the combo of people was great. It was simply a really nice day! For dinner we had hot dogs, Teriyaki chicken strips, rice, fruit salad and a green salad. We also had a cake from Costco and ended up eating almost the whole thing!

They did a "bigger and better" scavenger hunt. Each team started with a roll of toilet paper (Kyle Dempsey gave me the idea!). They had to go to each house and trade for something bigger and better. One team (probably the winners as it was huge) came back with a Little Tykes pirate ship AND a Hoppity hop!!! We laughed because the man was probably happy to get rid of the ship! They hooked water up to the ship and it squirted the wrong way (I think Sam turned it on to high - it plastered Steph which is why she is crying!) One team came back with a women's long leather jacket, one with a bread maker and the older kids with a dumb plastic frog and a stuff animal that passed gas!!! ha ha! I guess someone tried to give them an old refrigerator too! I'm going to give it all to a friend of ours that is adopting a baby from China - she's having a garage sale to earn money...

The boys also wrestled on the trampoline - kind of scared me...but oh well! They tried some moves in the pool which in the pictures look scary but didn't hurt them at all!

For some reason I can't put comments on the photos - but the one in the jacuzzi...Nanno is trying to do an L for loser over Aaron's head and is doing it with the wrong hand - that cracked me up! Also - you can tell it's April - most of the boys are so white!!!

The picture of our family has become a tradition - posing for a self timer picture! We all laugh and try to stay still...
