The San Diego Zoo

Steph cracks me up - how did she know to get behind this mask and make a monkey face?

The crocodiles were one of the first things we saw. They were scary...
Steph did NOT like them at all!
Aaron, Max and PrestonJessica, Mariah and Anika - they were so helpful all day with the little girls
All the kids. It was actually supposed to be a field trip for Dani's age class but we ended up taking everyone - go to the zoo or do schoolwork...easy decision!

Dani looking so very pretty! She used my little camera and took pictures of all the animals for her science class.Steph on the polar bear statue - the real polar bear was sleeping so this was much more fun. We are going to Sea World on Sunday - hopefully they will be awake. I think she will like Sea World better because the animals are more fun. The zoo is kind of like a museum but we had a good time - lots of walking and lots to see.
The hippos were way cool actually - they were the best part. They swam and came to the glass - they opened their mouths really big revealing ugly mouths with big teeth! They walked and swam all over. The kids loved them.
Nathaniel told Robert that the shows were boring - the animals didn't do anything. The hawk wouldn't even fly! I agree - the shows were boring - even the sea lion show was boring - Steph was afraid of him too. She wanted to volunteer and then they said whoever got got selected would get wet and she put her hand down. She was upset about that for awhile - even when the girl got picked she was so worried she would get picked! I finally convinced her they were done picking!
